'월드 디플로머시 1939'는 1939년 제2차 세계대전 직전 세계 정세를 배경으로 한 7인용 디플로메시(외교) 맵이다. 사막 타일셋 위에 구현된 광활한 월드맵에서 각 플레이어는 주요 국가를 맡아 외교, 경제, 군사 운영을 병행하며 생존과 패권을 겨룬다. 고정된 승리 조건이나 트리거 연출보다는 플레이어 간 협상, 동맹, 배신이 실시간으로 오가는 자유도 높은 샌드박스형 진행이 핵심이다. 국가별 초기 자원과 병력, 지리적 이점이 다르게 설정되어 있어 초반부터 힘의 균형을 맞추려는 외교전이 치열하게 전개된다. 밀리 유닛을 그대로 사용하지만 대량 생산과 전선 유지가 중요한 만큼 자원 관리와 다중 전선 운영 능력이 승부를 가른다. 7명이 모두 모집되어야 제맛이 나며, 한 판에 2시간 이상 소요되는 장시간 플레이가 일반적이다. 룰 숙지와 매너 플레이가 필수인 만큼 입문자는 관전이나 가이드 숙지 후 참여를 권한다. 역사적 배경과 전략적 깊이를 동시에 즐기고 싶은 유저에게 최적화된 맵이다.

Each nation has different starting resources, forces, and geographic advantages, leading to intense diplomatic maneuvering from the early game to balance power. While using standard melee units, mass production and front-line maintenance are crucial, making resource management and multi-front operation skills decisive. The map shines best with a full lobby of 7 players, and a single game typically lasts over 2 hours.
