영웅전쟁은 스타크래프트 브루드워 유즈맵으로, 6명의 플레이어가 각자 고유한 영웅을 지니고 전장에서 생존과 확장을 목표로 하는 UMS 맵이다. 지형은 사막 기반으로, 중앙에 높은 지대와 전략적 요충지가 분포해 있어 초기 진출 위치에 따라 전개 방식이 크게 달라진다. 각 플레이어는 기본 유닛 외에 고유 영웅을 보유하며, 영웅의 스킬과 성장 시스템이 전투의 핵심이다. 적의 영웅을 제거하거나 주요 자원을 장악하는 것이 승리의 열쇠로 보이며, 단순한 밀리보다는 영웅 강화와 전술적 위치 선정이 더 중요하다. 초보자에게는 다소 복잡할 수 있으나, 영웅 중심 전략에 익숙한 중급 이상 플레이어에게는 깊이 있는 전투 경험을 제공한다. 맵 내 터치 포인트가 많아 전투 빈도가 높고, 후반전으로 갈수록 영웅 간의 대결이 치열해진다. 전략적 사고와 빠른 대응이 요구되며, 혼자서도 즐기기 좋은 독립형 유즈맵이다. Each player’s hero possesses distinct abilities and a progression system that forms the core of combat. Victory hinges on eliminating enemy heroes or securing key resource points, making tactical positioning and hero development more critical than simple micro-management.
