프록시미티(Proximity)는 2인용 밀리 맵으로, 우주 타일셋을 배경으로 두 개의 언덕 기지와 그 사이에 펼쳐진 초토화된 전장이 특징이다. 맵 크기는 2048×2048로 표준적인 1대1 대전 규모이며, 64×64 타일 구성으로 기지 운영과 병력 이동에 여유로운 공간을 제공한다. 양 플레이어는 각각 별도의 언덕 위에 본진을 두고 시작하며, 중앙의 평탄한 지대가 주된 교전 무대가 된다. 언덕 지형은 수비적 이점을 주지만, 중앙 진출로와 측면 우회로가 모두 열려 있어 초반 정찰과 병력 배치가 승부를 가른다. 자원 배치는 본진 미네랄과 가스 외에 중앙 및 측면 확장 기지가 균형 있게 배치되어 있어, 장기전으로 갈수록 멀티태스킹과 확장 싸움이 중요해진다. 우주 타일셋 특유의 어두운 배경과 검게 그을린 지면 텍스처가 긴장감을 더하며, 시야 확보를 위한 오버로드·옵저버·컴샛 스테이션 운용이 필수적이다. 빌드 오더 최적화와 타이밍 러시, 드랍십·셔틀 활용 견제 등 정석 밀리 실력을 종합적으로 시험하기 좋은 맵이다. 1대1 래더 연습이나 친선전, 클랜 내전용으로 추천하며, 밀리 기초를 다진 초중급자부터 고수까지 폭넓게 즐길 수 있다. 플레이 전에는 본진 입구 너비와 램프 위치, 중앙 확장 미네랄 양, 섬 확장 가능 여부를 확인하면 전략 수립에 도움이 된다. Proximity is a 2-player melee map set on the space tileset, featuring two hilltop bases separated by a scorched central battlefield. The map measures 2048×2048 with a 64×64 tile layout, providing ample room for base management and army movement. Each player starts on a separate elevated main base, while the flat central area serves as the primary combat zone. The high ground offers defensive advantages, but multiple attack paths through the center and side routes make early scouting and unit positioning decisive. Resource distribution includes main base minerals and gas plus balanced natural and third-base expansions, so multi-tasking and expansion control become critical in longer games. The dark space tileset aesthetic with charred terrain textures adds tension, and maintaining vision via overlords, observers, or comsat stations is essential. This map tests comprehensive standard melee skills: build-order optimization, timing attacks, drop play, and map control. Recommended for 1v1 ladder practice, friendlies, and clan wars, it suits players from intermediate to expert level. Before playing, check the main ramp width and position, central expansion mineral amounts, and island expansion viability to refine your strategy.
