When downloaded Star maps are not visible or fail to run
Check missing map lists, lobby creation failures, and trigger malfunctions in order.
Check Files and Archives
If you place ZIP or other archive files directly into the Maps folder, they will not appear as maps. Extract the archives and check whether the SCM or SCX files actually exist.
Check Folder Location
Make sure that the installation location of the currently running StarCraft matches the Maps folder where you copied the files. If multiple drives or old installation folders remain, it is easy to place them in the wrong location.
Check Game Type
Use Map Settings maps must be run with Use Map Settings so that triggers and victory conditions apply. Running them in Melee mode may result in unit placements or progression differing from the creator's intent.
Check Other Versions
Older maps or modified editions may have issues in certain environments. Check the recently registered versions or versions with high feedback in the series/version comparison on the details page.
